Head of Technology

Billy Ahn has 37 years of diverse experience in R&D, Corporate Engineering & Technical program management from Korea, Singapore, and the United States. Mr. Ahn brings his experience and expertise to Silicon Box‘s engineering and technology teams.

While at Amkor, Mr. Ahn focused on material and process development, new package development, and design & characterization as Senior Director of R&D. He also managed and coordinated the technical program at Amkor’s US HQ. As Senior Vice President of JCET STATS ChipPAC, Mr. Ahn led the Design & Characterization and Corporate Engineering teams in Singapore, before managing worldwide D&C and RF module development in Korea.

Mr. Ahn obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Precision Mechanical Engineering from Korea’s Hongik University in 1981, and his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics in 1984.
